Thomas Michalik, DMD, MD is a dual-degree, board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Advanced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a long standing and trusted practice serving the Denver Metro area for years. He is committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate patient care. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California and his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He completed both his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training and his MD at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC.
After relocating to Denver in 1999, Dr. Michalik pursued additional training in General Surgery at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital, where he collaborated with Dr. Lessig at the Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic and together they started Advanced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He combines his surgical expertise with a patient-centered approach—prioritizing clear communication, comfort, and individualized treatment—so patients and families feel informed and supported throughout care.
Dr. Michalik has hospital privileges at Sky Ridge Medical Center and is also part of the Craniofacial team at Rocky Mountain Children’s hospital.
When Dr. Michalik is not in the office you will find him spending time with his wife Candee and his three children. He enjoys cheering on the Colorado Avalanche, along with traveling and fishing.
