Lauren Hanzlik, DDS, is a board-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Advanced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a long standing and trusted practice serving the Denver Metro area for years. Dr. Hanzlik grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, and has always called Colorado home.
She studied Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Denver, where she discovered her love for surgery. That passion took her to New York City for an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at The Mount Sinai, and then to Indiana University in Indianapolis for her surgical residency.
After training, Dr. Hanzlik moved home to Colorado to put into practice all her skills she obtained during her residencies. She practices true full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in both an office and in a hospital setting. Dr. Hanzlik is an expert in Dental Implants, Dental Extractions, Wisdom Tooth Removal, Pathology, Safe Sedation Techniques, Trauma Surgery, Orthognathic or Corrective Jaw Surgery, as well as Cleft Palate Surgery.
Dr. Hanzlik gives back by volunteering with Cleft and Craniofacial team at both Rocky Mountain Children’s Hospital and Kaiser. Dr. Hanzlik has been volunteering with both the Indiana Mission of Mercy and Colorado Mission of Mercy since 2016 providing free surgical services to her community.
When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll likely find her on the tennis court – where she first met her husband, Brandon – or out skiing, traveling, or enjoying time with their dog, Bella.
